Japanese electric two wheeler manufacturer Terra Motors company revealed an electric superbike, Kiwami, in India priced at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company, which designs to start trading the bike in next twosome of months, also designs to bring in a premium electric scooter, a range of inexpensive electric two wheeler and electric powered three wheeler into the Indian market.
"Besides, Kiwami, we design to convey in a premium electric scooter and a electric three wheeler this year. We will also address commencing inexpensive variety electric powered two wheelers in the future.We are targeting 25 per cent market share this year in the electric two wheeler segment. We furthermore design to invest Rs 30 crore throughout the year," Terra Motors Chief Executive officer Toru Tokushige notified reporters here.
The Indian electric powered two wheeler market is approximated to be round 60,000 units per annum.
The 1000cc Kiwami can cover a expanse of 200 km with a lone charge and achieve a peak pace of 140 km/hr. Terra Motors, which traded 20,000 electric powered vehicles in Japan last year, is furthermore in the method of finalising dealer partners in India.
